Click to edit FAQ text. Here is your opportunity to tell customers what they need to know about your products and services, and how your company operates. Do you ship products? Is there parking available for visitors? Do you do any custom orders? The more information you give customers up front, the more prepared they are to make a purchase when they come in or call.
We use a soft strip washer for scrubbing and wetting windows, a concentrated cleaning solution, a variety of squeegees, and use lint-free towels to wipe the tools between strokes and to dry excess water around panes.
All of the products we use in our window cleaning services are home-safe and biodegradable. We do not use any ammonia or alcohol-based solutions that could affect flooring or home fabrics or aggravate respiratory conditions due to fumes.
To safeguard against water damage and possible splashes or accidents, we do ask that you move any furniture away from window sills and ledges prior to performing our service. Of course, it's easier to clean windows that do not have draperies on them, but our team can work around them, if need be.
No! In fact, we use very little water and make every effort to avoid any spills. Our window cleaning teams will gladly wear shoe covers to protect your flooring while working in your home, at your discretion.
Generally, windows are cleaned twice per year. Modern double pane windows are usually washed 3 to 4 times per year. Many homeowners prefer to book a semiannual service, i.e. spring and fall. Then there are others who prefer annual cleaning. Some choose to clean selective windows on a frequent basis. Holiday season is also a time when our clients choose to have their windows cleaned. Commercial windows vary: we recommend monthly cleaning for storefronts and quarterly or semi-annual cleaning for office buildings.
We closely monitor the current weather conditions so that we can be prepared in the event of an adverse weather situation. If the weather reports call for light precipitation, we can proceed with the cleaning because light rain has no effect on the process. However, in the event of heavy rain or showers, our team will return within a couple of days to finish the service for you.
No, not by itself. However, rain can carry dust, pollen, exhaust and other contaminants onto your windows. Rain drops move the dirt around your windows and after the rain dries, the dirt and debris is left behind.
Yes! Window cleaning is actually more important during the winter than any other season. Road salt used to de-ice highways and streets turns into an air-borne powder when cars drive over it. This dust settles on your windows just as any other type of dust does.
Yes, our specialists have no fear of heights, but they won’t play superheroes to prove it. If it’s not 100% safe – we simply won’t do it. That’s our policy and that’s our commitment to your peace of mind. No window should be cleaned after putting a human life at risk.
In addition, as one of the industry leaders, we carry industry leading $10,000,000 General Liability insurance, Workers Compensation Insurance, Auto Insurance, and are properly bonded. Our insurance is accepted by ALL building managements in WA State.
BEFORE YOU HIRE A WINDOW WASHING, THERE ARE A FEW THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW
Window cleaning is an industry which attracts many part-timers and non-professionals. A legitimate, professional window cleaner will be fully insured. This is a non-negotiable requirement. If you hire a window cleaner who cannot provide a General Liability Insurance Certificate and a Workers Comp Certificate (an absolute must), you are putting yourself at considerable risk for liability should something go wrong.
INSURANCE FRAUD WARNING!
When you request a Certificate of Insurance (COI) from your window cleaning company, please call the insurance broker listed on the top right-hand corner of the certificate. Spending as little as 5 minutes on the phone call might save you millions of dollars and tons of headaches.
Here are 3 simple questions to ask the insurance broker of your vendor:
Is exterior window cleaning covered by the policy?
What is the height limitation on the policy?
And lastly, does the policy cover 1099 employees?
If they answer ‘NO’ to any of these questions, please remember that by saving a few dollars on hiring a bargain window cleaning service, you are accepting full liability and are putting yourself at unlimited financial risk.
MANAGE YOUR RISK WHILE YOU CAN!
Our Certificate of insurance
JANITORIAL INSURANCE – NO COVERAGE!
Due to the extremely risky nature of a window washing business, the cost of insurance coverage for window washing operations in Seattle has skyrocketed over the last decade. Nowadays proper insurance coverage has become prohibitively expensive for many window washing companies of 20 people or less.
To be able to provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) they settle for Janitorial insurance, although such policy provides NO coverage for window washing operations on high-rise buildings!
